Underdog Sports Wagering, a licensed sports wagering operator in North Carolina, recently announced its plans to cease sports wagering operations in the state. The North Carolina State Lottery Commission wants to make Underdog sports wagering account holders aware of this change in the state’s betting market.

 

Underdog Sports Wagering is contacting its account holders about operations ceasing in North Carolina and has published a FAQ webpage to answer customer’s questions.

 

These are some details of Underdog’s announced plans:

  • Underdog will stop accepting sports wagers on Tuesday, Dec. 16.
  • Underdog expects to settle all outstanding sports wagers by Thursday, Dec. 18.
  • A sports wagering account holder can withdraw funds from their account throughout and after the closure.
  • Underdog is converting all unused sports wagering funds to withdrawable funds on your account.

The Commission remains committed to protecting North Carolina players and to ensuring safe and responsible wagering. The Commission will continue to work with Underdog on any unresolved player issues, even after Underdog closes its online sportsbook.
