North Carolina Sports Wagering Catalog
The Sports Wagering Catalog contains every approved sporting event you can place wagers on through licensed operators in North Carolina. These events are authorized by the N.C. State Lottery Commission. A licensed operator is authorized to offer and accept wagers on any sporting event governed and organized by sports governing bodies and leagues listed in the catalog.
Anyone can request the addition of new events by submitting a petition, but they must be sponsored by a licensed operator. The Commission reviews each petition before deciding to approve or decline the new event. Commission members initially approved the catalog on Nov. 16, 2023, and it is updated regularly.
Petition for a new event or wager
To request approval of additional wagering events or wager types that are not included in the current NC Sports Wagering Catalog, complete the applicable form below. Each petition must be submitted by a licensed Sports Wagering Operator or be sponsored by a licensed Sports Wagering Operator.
- Petition for New Events or Wagers Form – Complete this form if the petition relates to a traditional sporting event.
- Petition for eSport Events or Wagers Form – Complete this form and provide all necessary attachments if the petition relates to an eSporting event.
