The Commission released information including total wagering revenue on the first day and first week of sports wagering.

At a meeting on Wednesday, the North Carolina State Lottery Commission released information on the first day and first week of sports wagering, including total wagering revenue, the amount of paid and promotional wagers made on mobile devices, and gross wagering revenue, the total wagering revenue less the amount paid out as winnings before any deductions for expenses, fees, or taxes. During the first 12 hours of wagering on the first day, March 11, total wagering revenue amounted to $23.9 million and the gross wagering revenue amounted to $11 million. During the first week, total wagering revenue amounted to $198.1 million and the gross wagering revenue amounted to $42.7 million.
